cocaine and lolly pops
she used to be beautiful
but these days she can't stop
bar fights and neon lights
she used to care
but these days she has no might
smoke haze and forgotten daze //d.a.y.s.//
she didn't used to be this way
now she's doing anything to get paid
love's embrace and a bruised face
she used to smile but now she cries
and she'll die draped in lace..
Please tell me what you think

The poem and your comment put a brick through the face. It is so sad to see a friend make choices that lead to destruction, while being unable to do anything about it. I saw many kids grow up alongside mine. They shared a lot when they were young, but over the years their ways have parted and life was kind to some and cruel to others. It is not all about the choices made, circumstance can also shape life into a situation few only know about and even fewer understand. Being so far apart as you wrote it seems there isn't much else to do than pray for her. I used to not believe in the power of prayer, but that now has changed through an act of mercy of The Light. I hope a similar thing will happen for your friend. Stay strong.

Very Painful
It seems this pain is directly related to you in the way of one of your loved friend perhaps who is this way because the heartfelt pain and tears of your eyes are very crystal clear and pure like those of himalayan waters. I'm sorry if this is personal but I hope I'm wrong. It is short & simple yet deals with the complex issue of seeing someone you care waste their life on drugs. I'm sorry for your hurt. Take Care & God Bless & may Lord bring back such wandered souls back home to safety and love.
