It's amazing how one short phrase and a few smilies can hold such a meaningful point!

      Hi Maria!

The smilies are just for effect, the one liner tells it all. I think that the best thing said, is said with few words. Thanks for commenting! Jim

Hmm... well if shedding genuine tears is imperfect (because we're imperfect creatures) then I suppose then logically "crocodile" tears (oh how I hate the cliche) must appear perfect... in the same sense as someone lying will make up "perfect" fiction to try to get you to believe it... which kinda goes along with the line "truth is stranger than fiction"
You certainly have made my mind wander with this simple line. Good job!

      Thanks,

I have this thing I say, my own quote, if you like, "I have these gems I sometimes cough up. Damn, they hurt my throat!" I am glad you liked this one liner, and thanks for the applause, I appreciate it a lot! Jim

*amazed* Looking at this comment, I am sure I was among the top three, and possible runner up to the crown. Not that I lay claim to it, I'm just curious. Thanks a lot for your great comment, I appreciate it! Jim

    PERFECTION!

Jim, Bravo to you bro for this short and effective piece that flowed from your pen. Tears flow for so many different reasons and this is only one of them. You captured that with one line and I commend you for your deft perception and ability to show it as you did. Thank you for sharing this creative artwork with all of us and best wishes for you in the contest. Keep the ink flowing with your golden ink. A definite standing ovation to go along with my applause for you here. Love and hugs for you and the family, God bless all of you bro. Miss you. Joyce

      Hi, sis!

You know me, I say things best if I say it short, and this contest made my muse SHOUT out the word of wisdom, as soon as I saw the trio of words. I cross my toes that I win this, though I have my doubts (as always). Big hugs to you and your husband from Ole, Monica, and me. Jim
