We share so much time here
Together in this room.
There is little connection;
I can feel the coming doom.
I feel alone but not frightened.
I never was a loner you see.
Having you here is better
Than being alone with just me.
How long has this been happening?
Did you know it before I spoke?
How far we have come from our wedding day
My, my, what a pitiful joke.
Alone never felt so lonely
Until I felt it revealed to me tonight.
When you sat always with me
At least we used to have our fights.
Sometimes it sneaks up on you
You don’t realize the stormy weather
Is bringing an eminent doom
No I step up and claim being alone together.

ALONE
There is not much more difficulty in life than feeling lonely when you are with someone. Reading your poems are a real insight to whom you are. I enjoy them and you. I am glad you have so many poems. I like your writing and, of course, thoughts. -
Truthfully, I do not fully understand this write. It is a little confusing... are you writing about A) How you could feel so alone, when you are with someone
How you can feel so alone when you are alone C) A marriage being torn apart by not communicating or D) something else?
Other then that, I felt some significant power, flow and a well-penned poem. A great write overall, with a strong ponder for those who do not understand. Thanks so much for entering.
