sorry but i do not know how to create links
the first poem is a poem of pure love, stanzas to augusta by Byron
this poem never fails to warm my heart, it always leaves me with a glow, it gives me hope that there is true love out there, and maybe if we are lucky then maybe like Byron we shall find that love, the last line reads, wich speaks to my spirit of thee. i love this line.
the secnd poem for me holds so much comfort for me, remember by christina rossetti
this poem gives me so much peace, i could melt in the words, it reminds me that those i have sadly lost are not that faraway. when i am sad i only need to read this and i know i am not alone, for those i have lost i shall rememer and smile.
the third poem always cheers me up, jenny kissed me by leigh hunt
its short, its sweet, and it always makes me smile, this poem was written after leigh almost died from flu, on his recovery he visited a dear friend, she was so glad to see him she jumped out of her chair and kissed him, the poem was born
the forth poem is simply beautiful, do not stand at my grave and weep by anonymous
this poem never fails to move me, the flow, the words, the meaning, the sadness, this poem was first thought to be by a soldier to his parents, but it was later claimed to come from a Navaho indian pray. its origins are still a mystery, tho i like the soldier story the best
the fifth poem is a true joy to read, he wished for the cloths of heaven by w.b. yeats
i love this poem, it speaks of dreams and a dream of love, this is only a short poem, but that is all it needs to be, as it ses in its 8 sweet lines all it needs to say
the sixth poem is amazing, jabberwocky by lewis carroll
how can you not be amazed by this poem, the words flow like a river of magical dreams, this poem also holds a special time in my life, i used to read this to my son when he was young, i shall treasure this poem forever
and finally(sadly only 7 poems to take with me, but i have all the poems i love in my head) i choose a poem with so much love, how could it not be in my 7, sonnets for the portuguese XLIII by elizabeth barrett
what can i say, a poem about a love so deep so moving and so touching, this is pure poetry, this poem has helped me through so many moments of pain, it must of held so many broken hearts in its capture, this poem is beyond simple words.
thank you, this has been a real pleasure to do, i could of gone on and on...thanks

This shows a good feeling for the selected poems, the writers obvious enthusiasm for the selections shows through in the brief but descriptive introductions.
The descriptions would, I believe, tempt the reader to search out the links (An awkward task so I include them below for convenience)
