Looking in the bottom of bottles
For all the answers to your life
Seeing double of the people
That you don't really even like
Refusing to sell your dignity
But unconsciously giving it away
You love them and respect them
But refuse to listen to what they say
Drinking away yesterday
But paying come tomorrow
Yet another lesson learned
Never helps to wallow in your sorrow
Laughing on the outside
While your inside hurts like hell
choking down your tears
While your eyes begin to swell
Making more stupid mistakes
While trying to forget the ones you already made
Looking at everything that you've lost
Regretting the prices that you've paid
Smoke a bowl, have a beer
Anything to numb the pain
Looking at your parents
Hoping you won't end up the same
You'll quit come tomorrow
But tomorrow is always a day away
And whentomorrow finally comes
Tomorrow is today
And today doesn't matter
Because only once you live this life
You plan on having your fun
You plan on living it right
Digging yourself an early grave
But still refusing to lay in it
Life is what you choose it to be
It's your hell if you stay in it
Stop looking around
Trying to find someone to blame
Try your hardest to keep your head up
Only you can change
Open up your eyes and see
The path that you must choose
Life won't fix itself
It needs some help from you
Stop looking into the bottom of bottles
Look instead within your heart
If you really need to change
Now is the time to start

yeah.. its hard to get control sometimes... i guess we all question what we're doing, when we're doing what we do.... at least the smarter ones... but as always we know its possible to do both as long as you listen to that old ass cliche " you gotta balance it out man...".... haha yeah easier said than done sometimes... sometimes alota times... oh and as far as suggestions go.. you have your ideas of what you want to say firmly set but see if you can't tuck it away into another topic, let it lie beneath something.. with a message such as this it could make it stronger.. just a suggestion

I really like the way you put this out. It is a loud message that many need to hear or realize. Life doesn't change itself.
Thank you for entering and good luck

My mom died of alcoholism and it hurts to watch someone you love kill themselves slowly like that. Whatever problems you have are still gonna be there and eventually everyone has to sober up.
