my friends and I we had a race
across the park today
I put my pants on backwards
so I finished yesterday
we started in to playing
a game of hide and seek
I haven't found myself and
I've been looking since last week
so, then we played some duck, duck, goose
the game we love the best
until I laid a couple eggs
so, now we're building nests
we thought we'd ride our bikes real fast
and jump some small toy cars
but, I had eaten beans for lunch
I'm just now passing mars
we played some cops and robbers
for fun it cannot fail
I now play by myself until
my friends get out of jail
we played a game of baseball
the Elves against the Gnomes
I hit a ball that went so far
we all ran to our homes
(and so outscored the Gnomes)

It's all true, 'cept the part about the eggs - I really laid three, but three didn't work in the rhythm scheme.
