Ebb tide, I am ebb tide,
Washing back out to sea
I've washed upon a new beach and
Seen how lovely beaches can be
I have heard the sounds of gulls and pipers and
Played my hands upon new strings,
And I have felt the time has come
To submit to retreat.
So out to sea, I draw away,
Am called away, I hasten away,
There to be met by a Sun so sweetly waiting
To draw me up, to draw me away,
Deeper now, higher now,
The "even more" to wait for.
