Shapes and color fulfill wooden carved pews.
A bible speaks,
words of faith as
a divine service takes place.
Muted mouths whisper,
as hands silently embrace.
Choir of prayers sound the air.
The rejoice of history's
immortal birth.
A vestry safely protects,
a box holding poverty's wealth.
A collection of money,
the people's offering.
Boxing Day's gift for the town's poor.

The rejoice of histories
immortal birth.
immortal birth is belonging to history so it is not histories plural but an apostrophe used - history's immortal birth.
a good poem, just that one section needs an edit.
