Ode to our love:
The Warrior Poet
and the lovelustre.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
A: Aquire us a preacher and a matrimonial ring.
Bring in a choir at the wedding to sing.
B: The band shall play for us many sweet tunes.
But are banned from overshadowing our lovely I do's.
C: Come say your vows as we join at the alter.
Cum on to me later, our passions shall not falter.
D: Damn to anyone that protests our true love.
Let our desires dammed up, fly high as a dove.
E: This epoch of love on which we embark.
Is an epic tale from which we never shall part.
F: My hair upon matrimonial pillow, is fine and fair.
Our bed of love is free; I'll never charge you fare.
G: You love women that are feminine, or gays.
Now forget all of them, only to me do thee gaze.
H: That manly, hairy chest of yours seduces me.
My old lover Harry no longer intruduces me.
I: I'd give up all of my lovers just to have you.
You have eyed me, and had my lovers caged in the zoo.
J: Let's make love on our wedding night covered in jam.
Jamb your love in me, buttering you is not my only plan.
K: I'll shake, shout and scream that you are my colonel.
Bite my kernal of passion, and your tongue do a twirl.
L: We take out a lien to buy us a house.
Lean into me on our marriage bed, you, my spouse.
M: The maid will tidy up the bed, two schillings her pay.
Where we made love a plenty, til the early light of day.
N: You navel warrior are made of wonderous stuff.
The taste of my navel grinds you to dust.
O: Oh, grand lover of mine, sower of passion.
You owe me only your love, that is always in fashion.
P: Bring me a pail and milk to make cheese.
You make me pale, as I wail, and cry out yes, please!
Q: When back on love's bed, my wink is your cue.
You queue up to my charms, and say I love you.
R: We recede every night into lover's delight.
You reseed my flower bed, my flower bud of the night.
S: This scene plays erotically over and over.
Seen by the neighbors as unrestrained lovers.
T: This tale of our wedding, and love in marriage.
Is about our tails meeting, and needing a carriage.
U: Your seed meets my egg, we shall not undo.
As baby makes three, undue pleasures ensue.
V: The blood in the veins of the babe that is ours.
We are not vain to the heaven, the moon and the stars.
W: Your word was a promise to me, it is I you will love.
That word whirled into a baby, a gift from above.
Y: You're the man in this world that I most adore.
Your child a gift to me, for you I humbly bore.
Z: Alas, I found no good homophones for the letters x or z.
But this tale is about love, marriage and a baby.
The Warrior Poet
I did this on my own...something for fun, for love, for him, and to keep life a kick!
-
-
at home, I have a reverse dictionary...instead of the words, and giving the meanings...it has the meanings in alphabetical order, and giving the words...it gives me great insight to rhymes...when I don't do acrostics
-
-
i should like to see such a dictionary...so many interesting tools for the modern poet!
-
-
awesome
an outstanding play with words and very creative...even more awesome is the dedication...this write is fantastic...smile...hugs and love, David
-
-
This one grew out of my head and my heart.
Quite a challenge that I spent a few hours creating. -
-
you did similies..or words that sound alike but are totally different...this was an awesome write...to find the words to begin with, and then to utliize
-
-
I printed up a list of homophones from a web site. It ate up 50 pages of print, some repititious. So that part was made easy for me, pulling such words out of my head, might have taken years..haha!
This is absolutely fantastic! Funny and very very clever.
However, one small typo ...
N: You navel warrior are made of wonderous stuff.
The taste of my navel grinds you to dust.
You naval warrior?
-
I shall pin the clappers to my heart, as AP is ignoring your plea to post them!
You are showing a side of you which I have not seen Sissy ~
You are becomming a wonderful writer....not that you weren't before...but I LOVE the way you are taking chances and penning indifference ~
i started out expressing pent up love,
that is how i started at AP.
then contests gave me inspiration.
now i try to write with out contests to inspire.
So my boyfriend the Warrior gives me inspiration, when he is not asking me to write him a poem.
If i was single, I'd fly to England and be his mistress!
cool!
