Hi! My name is Chester the Squirrel
and Christmas does not fill me with glee
because you humans cut down my home
to use as a Christmas tree!
I work all day and work all night...
now my precious tree is out of sight!
My home is gone! My home is gone!
Now I am homeless on the lawn!
A wicked dog here licks his lips
and has his eyes on my fat hips.
HELP!

Definitely a fine idea for helping squirrels, and I do like them very much. Thank you for coming to my contest.

Never thought about this possibility before!

So very right!
Fake trees would save a squirrel from being homeless.
I love your poem, I really, really DO!

Oh, this is too cute
You've done a very nice job putting this together. It is fun, creative and unique. Excellent work on this! Bravo!

lol
awe, poor little squirrel
.
Actually, it is true what you are saying here: Christmas is just killing beautiful trees - they should all put a plastic one and let the real ones in the forest
Thank you for entering this contest

very cute! Squirrels are so cute.
And that's true that I guess we do cut down some squirrels (and other animals)'s homes with our Christmas trees. Very interesting idea!

haha very cute and clever - 2 tumbs up buddy

very good
This is often the case with animals; particularly at Christmas. An anthem to their frustration, definitely.
Good poem, bro. Have a Merry Christmas.

What a funny poem... POOR SQUIRREL!
waaaaaaaaa! I am sorry for the squirrels, though, and that is why I put up a fake tree every year!
Well, plus I am always glad to have my tree on hand for fast assembly.
Your poem is so funny and made me smile plenty well!
