‘twas the night before christmas
known as christmas eve, you see
and all over town kids were peeking
to see what Santa left under the tree
but santa didn’t show this time
something was going down
while all the little boys and girls
replaced their smiles with a frown
the elves had their heads together
along with a partner in crime
plotting together and up to no good
waiting for just the right time
but us partners in crime are a wise gang
and know when something is hot
those little fellas were involving us
in their mysterious plot
they planned to take over christmas
though I can’t imagine why
they’d have to put up with all those kids
as they pout and whine and cry
santa was in on this dirty deed
you can bet he had lots to say
until partners in crime figured it out
took action and saved christmas day
