Agnostic, Atheist or Heathen

Agnostic, Atheist or Heathen
©copyright 2006 Bonita M Quesinberry, R.C.

How is it you fear that which you do not believe,
and denounce those whom to God do cleave?
Why would you fear what you say has no existence,
yet debate it with such resistance?
Why would a skeptic of God even read these things,
agnostic or atheist you sing,
while declaring His fiery wrath frightens you—
or, read as an avowed heathen, too?

Ah, but there is a reason you should fear God's wrath,
besides walking Satan's deadly path;
for no matter which way you have chosen to go,
all are born with a soul in the know.
You have chosen to ignore its deeply felt plea,
thus it makes you fear what you can't see;
for your spirit has no other way of warning
that death will be yours come Christ's morning.

How is it you don't see that His sheep have no fear,
o'er His wrath shedding nary a tear?
Yet, of His fire you cringe, tremble, wrangle and shout,
urging the likes of me to get out,
labeling us as vile speakers of gloom and doom.
How is it you felt not from the womb
Father's love left with you when He sent you to earth:
an awareness of Him since your birth?

God now asks you, "How is your way working for you?
How is your life of fear, and pain, too?
How is it to fear things that go bump in the night,
or walk a dark path with no flashlight,
or to fear most men or women or even love,
or fear a sudden breath from above?
Why would you turn ugly by fear when I give none?
Fear slays you, when all is said and done."

    Well

Being raised a Catholic & attending a Catholic school for 9 yrs brought me to the point of destruction. The God I wish to believe in is on of mercy. Unfortunately the one I was taught about seemed to want to strike out at us. I respect others beliefs but mu idea of a God/Gods goes way back past what man has force feed us. But powerful words in this write

Great job of bringing out the truth for those that do not beleive in God. It will be a sad day for them when they stand before God and answer for their unbeleif.

    Timely and True

I almost missed this poem Bonnie. How appropriate and needed. I pray all that read this will examine their relationship with the Creator of our world. Despite what the agnostic, atheist or heathen try to believe, they were created by God and they know it deep within their soul, spirit and intellect. As you ask,

"How is it you felt not from the womb
Father's love left with you when He sent you to earth:
an awareness of Him since your birth?"

If we seek truth in our innermost parts, we have to admit that we were created by God and that He calls to us in His infinite love and mercy.

I pray that multitudes answer his call. The time left to choose Him is drawing quickly to an end.

I love you lots and lots. I am so glad we will spend eternity as sister. - joanne

    Awesome,anointed writing!

Bonnie- I had just a few moments to myself before supper. Came to AP trying to figure out some of the new system. Afraid, I'm a little overwhelmed by all the changes. I saw you had been on line here today. I just had to stop in and read what you had posted. Powerful truth, the words just flow off the paper by themselves. Your writing gift, wisdom, knowledge are so inspiring to the rest of God's children. I'm am amazed you can accomplish all, that you do in a given week. I know, the Lord provides and protects you in all you do. I was so pleased to see you still posting here.
May God Richly Bless Your Life. You are a very humble servant of the Lord. You have brightened and encouraged my life so many times in the last 4 yrs. Makes you, even more precious to my heart. I thank you for that treasured friendship. Prairiegal

    You lead them to water.....

You cannot make them drink. Words are great, but in the end everyone makes their own decision. The poem is strong, but will they choose to drink in all the knowledge it contains! The Shaker

    IMPRESSIVE

Mom...this is a mighty powerful work. Some comments already eluded to the fact that within truth, there is no NEED to fear, so that a true Christian, upon reading what you have scripturally-based written, is hopefully feeling EMPOWERED, while those in pits of traditions galore and mental darkness might run, hide, and cower in fear.
    And well they should.

Love it Mom! I miss you!
ALL MY LOVE! HAPPY WINTER...KEEP SAFE! AND WARM!
    -James.

Wow, Bonnie - this is powerful. I'm so glad to see you enter poems on this site again. What you wrote is so deep and profound. Fear can be a survival instinct of the body, but it can also be a great enemy - especially to the Christian. Those of us who are "sealed" need not fear anything that man can do to us, or any situation or trial that we may face in this life. "All things work for the good of those who love Him" - even our most desperate trials. "Great peace have all those who love thy law" - but the agnostic, the atheist, and the heathen would not know any such inner peace.

    Respectfully,
    Moses

Fear is evil's favorite arm. And ignorance its preferred battlefield. Combined they are accountable for many slaughters over a long period of time. Contrary to what could be expected of intelligent beings (which is the way mankind prefers to label itself), ignorance has become bliss - increased instead of becoming less. More suffering and killings resulted from that. Somewhere in the Book of Enoch a sound warning is given off regarding ignorace. The book was used in the early days of christianity, but banned later when the dark forces took over the religion when they saw a good means in it to rule and abuse the world. It also explicitely warns us for the sons of satan, the conjurors of fear. The ones those dark spirits hate most are the fearless, who continue to believe in the goodness and power of The Light. They fear them, because they know the true power of The Light that they have been denying themselves for centuries in linear space and time. They even pleaded Enoch - who was a man of GOD - to pray for them to GOD. GOD's answer: YOU should be praying for mankind and not let mankind pray for you. This implicates the power structure in the heavens. A place that the conjurors of fear will never see again.

    Chris
