"Life Caught in Panes of Glass"

in crystal surrounds
so peaceful is the refuge
a brilliant design
of color that shifts
in reflection (of life)

an illumination of wonder
where a mere flicker
becomes the beacon
enticing birds to witness
what lies within

or in sorrow, panes can shatter
pieces of a dream, lost
lewd shadows casting
upon yesterdays
once so beautiful

a season out of place
glares past the window
in wonder of tomorrow
hope of a new spring
that may lean through
and blissfully catch...
the dust

    Stimulating

It's good to see you writing again Kathy.

A flash out of the ordinary, a moment divorced from time when we see past the now to a fragment of eternity and, stung by its purity, we relate it to symbols we more easily understand.

    Nice.

I loved the quiet peace of this poem. The way that you can feel the emotion just dripping off the screen. It has some great lines it in, and over all is just a spectacular poem. I would applaud you, but I don't have anymore. I like the eyes on the side too. Love and Peace, Charlene

I heap praise on you. Lovely word choice. One is normally quite speechless after a good poem and I'm sorry, but I have nothing more I can really say...
