Ear Of The Dragon.

I used to weep myself to sleep, for the lonely that is the way,
Bitter disappointment always the mood, I ended in every day.

Then I thought of those I fancied, but never met face to face,
And wondered what may result, if taken to my favourite place.

So every night I chose a name, from my special Fantasy List,
Flying to distant worlds as we cuddled, caressed and kissed.

Soon my nights became delights and exquisite in the extreme,
Periods of incredible happiness and great for my self esteem.

A favourite of many trips is a Dragon, who has silky soft ears,
We could create love all night, without pauses, fires, or fears,

We travelled ageless lands where there’s only rampant peace,
As laughter echoes in the balmy air and wonders never cease.

Climbing up rainbows laughing out, like children hand in hand,
Then frolicking among the evening stars, in that timeless land.

We giggled as making daisy chains from flowers every where,
Laughed gaily from the fun of threading them through her hair.

I love to explore her bottomless eyes, as they smile up at me,
Her delicate hands held with gentleness, wherever we may be.

I adore whispering sweet poetry, into a delightful fluffy soft ear,
Things she enjoys hearing whenever, I venture close and near.

For when I take her into my arms, and feel trembles of delight,
I marvel at her sweet voice all through the long indulgent night.

Until we both land at passion’s peak, like mortals can never do,
Then solemnly shivering in ecstasy, as the solar breezes blew.

For We are poets and do such things, while both acting as one,
For there’ nothing better in our world, than love and having fun.

So when the journey was finally over and the sun began to rise,
Coming down to earth at last, bathed in the gold of sunlit skies.

For we are but dream lovers living far apart on our mother earth,
Adult children enjoying all we’ve missed for all that we are worth.

So if ever you see a beautiful Dragon, with appealing velvet ears,
Smile kindly so she wont burn you and approach her without fear.

    You made my day!

Sweet Bazza, thankyou so much. I thoroughly enjoyed the verse and the journey you took me on. Christmas away from family is difficult but having far away friends writing such lovely poetry eases my lonliness. You have a special place in my heart.

      Glad it made you happy

I am glad I gave a glimmer of pleasure to that kind soft heart of yours and so I will take this opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Although it is sad you will be away from your loved ones, I know that you all will benefit from the experience as absence makes the heart grow fonder and therefore increases the strength of those golden threads that bind you together as a family.
I am posting another poem in a few minutes that I hope you enjoy too.

WAW! Bazza, that was realy nice and touching. Sigh...
I would be able to read it over and over again. Marvelous verses, story, love... Sigh... I will put this one to my special feature book. This is a real fairy tale for adults to bring them a peace of childhood mistery, imagination, fantasy and miracle world of love.

      Thanks for the compliment.

Hello Sonja, thanks for the lovely words and applause and I am so gad that you received something from it too. I am posting another in a few minutes that is the first I have seen on the subject yet seems to be completely neglected. I often wonder why dogs run off after they have had their fill, without looking back, and this is not far off the same thing. Pity, but the world is full of selfishness and self gratification .... just part of the greed that rules this world. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your loved ones. * love)
Actually this new poem reflects exactly what you commented on .... which I saw after writing the poem, not before.
