Yellow- flamed tiers garland
tons of fleece stacks,
mounting a divine resplendence-
Barely mobile, the royal float
of tufted white
mimes deified on its air throne,
like Shekinah Glory toward the promised Land-
ascends to the blued expanse,
gleaming under Solar metal.
Slowly stretched over
miles of emerald hills,
I fold prostrate to fathom
yet, another sculpture
from the Creator’s thumbs.

Author notes
Luke Howard, F.R.S. (1772-1864) was named "Godfather of Clouds" due to the fact that he was responsible for the naming of clouds. Mystified since childhood by the various shapes and an early pioneer of meteorology, his love was evident in the research that led to many other weather interests making it a unique study in the stratospheres of the heavens.

Love the first and last stanzas the best. I can see them afloat above my head as I lie on my back, eyes shaded by my hand~ Your desription is so regal in itself.

Beautifully done, your spirituality always shines in your work. I love the thought of the Creator sculpting with his thumbs.. gives me a wonderful visual. This is indeed lovely, excellent. Thank you for sharing the beauty, and thank the Creator for his creations.

Beautiful and eloquent write you've created here. Clouds offer us much in how we can perceive and construct meaning in our surroundings. Your word usage here is so rich and steeped in visual imagery. Brought back fond memories of childhood days laying ina field and gazing up at those amazing cloud formations, and allowing my creative mind interpret the paint on this palette. Much enjoyed.

Simple and nice, a very good write -
very visual indeed! a very creative description of a cloud, no two ever alike, and no two of us ever seeing quite the same thing in a cloud... does so speak of the wonder of nature... and of the infinite spirit. I enjoyed this one
thanks!

excellent visual,creative,nightnight read rec
Di- Your normal, wonderful, visual, piece has again deeply entertained me this evening. I enjoyed the mini history lesson, too! Since the health issues cause memory loss, I say, I have forgotten more in the last 15 yrs. than most young adults will ever learn. Most of my friends from many decades seem to agree. Must be some truth, within there. A wonderful, mental, magical journey before bed, you've given me. Thank You and God Bless! Sorry, we have been missing each other. Sherry, the sweetie is keeping me uplifted and completely entertained. Since you and she live close to my parents(I plan to make a trip this summer to see all of you). Hope these plans will work for you too! I do still drive! I just have to many the journey in at least 3 days, but my Rodeo with me, would better serve me as to visiting on the other end. Foxie travels well and is all the protection, I need. Will talk to u later. Sherry helped me with pictures. No I still can do them by myself! That little wizard is going to tutor me, when there. It will click mentally for me, then! Please excuse my typos and version of short hand at this hour. My body is on the way down hill! God Bless, chat soon!put a smile on this gal's face...
