Tears fall freely everywhere
Lives each day are ruined
You know the end is coming
You sense impending doom
Having to watch in horror
As they slowly destroy your world
Then witnessing the repercussions
All the starving boys and girls
Mother Earth is crying
But Father Time ticks on
The world reaping what it sows
Soon everything is gone
Their words don't mean anything
They worship drugs more than you
You carry the blame upon your shoulders
But there's nothing you could do
Respect isn't taught to children
Our youth runs wild in the streets
I wonder if you've lost all hope
Just accepted the defeat
They're foolish enough to question
Whether or not you exist
Why don't you answer their prayers?
Probably because you're pissed
They question what you do for them
Not what they've done for you
Or what they've done to themselves
They haven't got a clue
I still talk to you each night
Though they live like you're not there
You might not hand me everything
But I know that you still care
If you don't mind me asking, God
Does it ever make you cry?
To see them destroy all you've created
As you watch down from the sky
Nations starting useless wars
Then asking you to end them
Devils preying on the innocents
Trying to befriend them
Bullets breaking windows
Judgements shredding tender hearts
Everything that you've worked to build
Is slowly ripped apart
I can't say that I'd blame you
If you've given up all hope
I know that everyone else has
The world just couldn't cope
Too busy making money
To take the time to pray
Forced to sit and watch us suffer
As we approach the end of days
Please tell me what you think

Well Done
We`re glad you got that off your chest,
try thinking now of what is best.
You remind me of myself when I was using and drinking,
now that I am clean and sober my thoughts are rarely stinking....Media which has clearly grown, leaves no time for thoughts of my own. Don`t let them push it down your throat, just reach over for the remote.
We are born to die and that is no lie.
What we do in between is to accept or scream.
We have been approaching the end of days,
subsequent to that first breath we did take.
Be ever grateful for what we do have,
for there is a more precipitous path.

Dark And Soulful
A deep and thoughtful write, very skillfully expressed and sadly pessimistic. I suppose the world is bad in so many ways, but there is lots of good. I'll be the first to admit this a truthful view of one side of the coin
The first line sets the tone of the poem and the title/last line help emphasize the point you make very clearly. Well done!

very good
this is a very deep and thought provoking write but i know there is a lot of love and good still in this world it is just that the bad side gets more coverage as it makes for better reading and therefor sells newspapers, many still love and praise goodness as is shown by the many religious buildings ,charities and other *do gooders* this lack of respect and suffering is not a new happening but something that has been with us since the begining it is just more brought to our attention now with world wide news.very good work though, thnak you for sharing this with us and keep up the good work
