A snowflake in the sky
Of blues,greys,and white
Silent but clear
All through the night
A family of three
Putting up the Christmas lights
Strung around the tree
With the final touch of the star, the tree ignites
A snowball fight
Going on next door
A few hits in a row
Settles the score
Two kids build a snowman
Packing in all the spots
Putting the carrot in its place
And a few coal dots
The snow becomes heavier
Putting a blanket of white on everyones house
Adults and children fall asleep in their beds
Not a creature was stirring..not even a mouse
Children slept waiting for the morning to come
For it was Christmas Eve
And Christmas was soon to become
The morning neared
And the children waited
Soon it would be Christmas
The moment they awaited.
