I wish that I could say I Love You one more time
I wish that I could hold you and tell you that you’re mine
I hope that soon I can show you how I miss you so much
I want so badly to just feel your warm touch
But, please realize, you were taken from me too soon
Remember that frightful day, sometime around noon
And how that morning you quickly left for school
And how the boys showed you their gun and how they thought it was cool
And how you tried to run, but found it didn’t last
Because soon, they pulled the trigger back so random and fast
Then you were lying there, gently on the ground
The boys walking over you just like another mound
Did they care that you were there, dying in the dirt
Breathing slowly, and trying to just ignore the hurt
How your life was leaving yet another empty glass
About that other girl they just shot dead to the grass
Did they ever stop to wonder about the families that would soon be told
Or about how their hearts had just turned bitter cold
And how I now sit here in the dark, trying hard not to cry
Cause all the times I think about it, I remember how I didn’t say good-bye

I made it because there's been a lot of school shootings lately.

This is unique and it is a great poem. I give you praise for this poem because it really shows your feelings and it expresses your words so perfectly. You really grabbed my attention with the title and then as I read the poem i found myself wanting nto know what was going to happen. This is a masterpiece and a work of art.
