Thought Waves

A thought wave on the wings of Time
becomes a mechanism rhyme
b[l]ends into "truth" - if truth exists -
but if it doesn't, thought persists,
sifts trial from error, act from mime,
opens avenues, insists,
impatient, chafes at falsehood, crime,
scarce tolerates the pantomime
Earth's play puts forward through the mists
Time has heaped up from clime to clime.

A thought wave on Time's wings should soar
above dark clouds.   An open door
can cul-de-sac swift reunite
to black hole's wormhole,thus despite
apparent limits more and more
we find white yins through black yangs write.
Discover therefore no "before"
no "after" matters, when zen's core
remains intact, allows insight
to touch tear spring of every pore.

A thought wave on the wings of Time
should take time out, fresh paradigm
prepare, from past mistakes devine
the lesson that, though most resign
their birthrights spineless, heed harsh chime
against who out of step, of line
dare question compromise and grime,
who lofty set their sights sublime
towards a future fair and fine
where everybody cares a dime.

So thought waves in a coloured band
blend in season what seemed bland,
bring Cause, Effect, in contact, show
yokes may be lifted, acorns grow
so tall that all at sea can land
on gangway clear, fears overthrow.
Life's lent, sent helping understand.
Ideals uphold in witness stand,
exchange high pride for "search to know" -
food for thought sought ferments hope fanned.

A thought band, - coded, coloured, wave -
bright seal imprints on souls that brave
"becomings" - like the chrysalid
from silk coccoon where long it hid
which slips forth, flies with wings to save
the future from a time-lock lid.
The dust which fills the roads we pave
once concentrated will not cave.
Ignoring ego and the id,
Man must not toe bye line, "behave" ...

  • Great multi patterns

all the old comments here say it all. this poem is good philisophy under layer upon layer of pattern styles all blended rather well together, im putting you on my fav. list
this style of yours is exactly what i should be readin more of, to tease my underworked brain out of the dulldrums of constricted conventional suroundings...even the comments here from your readers are more thought provoking then i seem to find myself coming into contact with in person, except in my own mind...and you have a multitude of poems to read...do you have a printed book?

    WHERE IS TRUTH MY FRIEND

FROM WHAT I HAVE READ IN YOUR WRITES

    THERE IS MUCH TRUTH

    WHERE DID YOU LEARN THIS

ALOT OF KNOWLEDGE WRAPPED UP IN YOUR MASTERPIECES

YOU ARE MUCH MUCH MORE TALENTED THEN I

BUT OUR THOUGHTS ARE QUITE THE SAME

SO WHERE DID ALL IF YOUR BRILLIANCE COME FROM

THIS IS AGAIN BY FAR THE BEST I HAVE EVER READ

    GOD BLESS...

Food for thought! And what excellent sustenance this particular fare contains. Does truth exist? Only as we each see it. Thoughts blend in to one another and thus cause and effect may be seen as never ending, much as one colour of a rainbow blends into another. The philosophy in this piece certainly gives cause for my thought waves to assess direction and action. As always, I’m impressed with the rhythm and rhyme found here.

    Delightful, Jonathan.

As I read this I kept seeing a prism of light in my mind's eye. Light waves, thought waves. Closely bending and blending to the gravitational pull throughout infinite time.

I agree with others...very intriguing work.

    Bravo!

    thought-provoking!

Do u haaaave to be so thought-provoking mister?

    "if truth exists -
but if it doesn't, thought persists" This is something that always goes round and round in my head. I've come to the conclusion that just because we can think a profound thought, doesnt mean that the thought is profound truth.

However, all thoughts, like feelings, are important and worthy of validation (because they come from human beings and are extentions of us).

    But don't think too much!
    Thought(some critics )say
delays the action of the day!

    I did think ...

Your poem is certainly in sync with philosophical ponderings that direct the thoughts to stray off the beaten path and yet stay close to the highway. I like your style of sharing and it's always a pleasure to read poetry that has keys for higher thinking rather than what is so frequently observed. Your words deserve to be read and reread at a later time like Emerson's essays. I find that as the mind becomes stronger there's always more understanding that can be gained. Keep writing as it sounds good from you, joy

There is so much philosophy in this poem, the imagery is dense and this poem repays a little time spent reading it through. I liked the first stanza in particular though this poem is complex it has a lot of depth and thought behind it. I liked the positive message that lies behind the poem:
yokes may be lifted, acorns grow
