What am I?
I know my name
I know my tribe.
I know who I am
But what label
Is there to describe?
American Indians,
Indians,
Amerindians,
Amerinds, or
Indigenous,
Aboriginal or
Original Americans.
Native of this land,
My home
Before the time when numbers
Only matter.
Navajo,
Cherokee,
Choctaw,
Sioux,
Chippewa,
Apache,
Lumbee,
Blackfeet,
Iroquois
And Pueblo.
10 Largest tribes.
I know who I am.
I am a mother, a wife
A daughter and a friend.
A sister and a worker.
I have seen life change
Before my very eyes.
I sit here and could tell a story
Of everything I am.

Thank you for entering my contest
Well, I like this, it is a very good start. I feel though you could have gone further and indeed I wish you had told me a story of everything she is.
God Bless

Very Different but very good
You wrote the ways you seen it or told to you by your anncesstor, the elders of the tribes will tell you how it was. YEs those are the ten tribes to teaches the most of our acient history of the day wheen the land was free to roam, the elder sit and smoke the pipe, the elders chosen to tell the storied of long ago.
