I remember some years back
I was hanging with my (now) ex
Only one thing he ever thought of
Yep, you guessed, I'm talking sex
It was two days before Christmas
The tree decorated, full of lights
We were cuddled on the sofa
Enjoying the peaceful night
Off to work the next day
When his cell began to ring
I thought, oh no, he left it
Perhaps it was him calling
I grabbed the phone, "Hello"
Expecting that it was he
But on the other end instead
I distinctly heard a she
She asked for him by name
Not phased that I had answered
"He's not here, who's calling?"
Just tell him it's a dancer
Well, this had sort of pissed me off
But I pushed the thoughts aside
Not jumping to conclusions
I'd ask him eye to eye
Later on that evening
To his place I had gone
Christmas eve with the family
And everything went wrong
A knock upon the door
His white face he couldn't hide
Mom had gone to let them in
Oh Shit! It was his bride
The fool had been a liar
He married this chick a month ago
Never told us of each other
It was the lowest of any blow
What a freaking Christmas
My fiancee ran off with this bitch
Then the stupid bastard
Hit a tree and into a ditch
So I guess at the time
It was the worst gift I had recieved
Now looking back, I'm thankful
But that night, I was really peeved
Author notes
Yeah, this was real...asshole!

very good
Storm,
this is a great write...
I believe I have seen this guy....on Jerry Springer...thank goodness without you.
Isn't it amazing how after time and the healing, you can look back and think...oh that was a blessing!
Good luck in this contest.

OMG, looking back, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he had shown up on Jerry Springer!! That is just too funny. Nope, I am done with him, have been for a long time now, thankfully. Appreciate your comments.

On the up side, you found out before giving him his present. Had a similar experience myself but it was closer to easter. Some people are just born bastards, others work at it.
Good luck in the contest Storm, it has a good rhythm and structure and is very easy to read (flows smoothly), very well written

I would say he was a first class, grade A ***!*
What a way to find out!
All the best to you in this contest, hon!
(still shaking my head at the NERVE of some "men") -

Even with the negatives...first class and grade A is giving him too much praise, lol. He was an idiot though. Thanks for the comments Sandy, appreciate it.

Some Christmas
Well holy balony!
I can't believe it!!! What a stupid bunghole! But.. alas, I am glad you didn't put up with it. You are better off without him! Just be glad I wasn't around at the time. I would've given him a "what for" for hurtin' you!

Oh he was a jerk. And what's more, what goes around comes around and he definitely got his. She was pregnant from some other guy a month later. I laughed hysterically.
Thanks for the comments hun, appreciate it.

Wow hon, he was a major fool. I think he chose the wrong person. But in reality, you don't want someone like that. Sorry this happened to you, but I see you know now it was for the better anyway.
My love to you
Vickie

Yeah, he was a jerk. And so has all the others been pretty much since then, lol. Maybe I should change my preferences, lol.
