My Typewriter

There he sits
like a silent giant
waiting for a thought
or an idea to spark

Speechless and without a voice
he waits for some ancient muse
to rouse creativity from it's sleep
and breath life, onto still cold paper.

Author notes

I suppose the title is pretty much self explanatory.
I was sitting at my typewriter, waiting for something to come. And I was thinking that it was bad. But then I thought of how it might feel for the typewriter.

Please tell me what you think

This is something that I found unique and fun. I love typing on typewriters, but I know sitting in front of them, waiting for some inspiration can be a big frustration.
The words you chose for this piece are very nice. They gave it a different sort of feeling because the words were rather poetic, and yet the subject of the poem, or the concept of the poem isn't really something that people would call classically poetic. (Does that make any sense?) Ha.
Anyhow, I rather enjoyed this piece. It brightened my day a little.
