Dear Heavenly Father,
I lift up my friends to You
Please give them a reason to smile today
Touch their hearts, O Lord
Let them know You are never far away
Lord, I do not know the trials they face
But I pray You would show them Your light
When they stumble in darkness
Show them wrong, and help them do right.
I pray You would protect their hearts
Everyday guide their minds;
Do not let this world deceive them
and hide the truth You want them to find.
Give them strength and courage
To everyday defend Your name;
If other mock their faith
Do not let them feel ashamed.
I pray that You would give them wisdom
and that their choices would honor You.
Let each step they take lead them close,
with each prayer, clear their view.
Lord, if they must fall
Cover them with mercy and grace;
Give Your hand to help them rise again
so they may see Your holy face.
And Lord, I also ask that they would always know You.
Help them always remember Your love;
If they stray away, guide them back
to You who reigns from above.
This, O Lord, is my prayer to You,
Please answer it fully, as only You can do.

Im not big on religious poetry. Im a total sinner, but I really like how you ask for God to look after your friends. Most people pray to save themselves. You pray to save your friends. I like that.
