The Whos down in Whoville liked Christmas a lot.
But one mischeif maker in Whoville did not.
Little Cindy Lou Who, with little blonde curls
seemed sweet, but was the most evil of girls.
It was Christmas Eve eve, as she lie in her bed,
as thoughs of revenge raced 'round her tiny head.
That stupid ol' Grinch, he was so very close!
He almost had stopped what Cindy hated the most!
But the green man went soft! He gave up his chance!
"But I won't!" grinned the girl with a small, evil glance.
She got to work quickly, she sewed and she planned.
Her plot would take place when the Whos all joined hands...
Across town, next evening, at the Who Roast Beast Feast,
the Whos all ate merrily, not suspecting the least.
They went to bed early, anxious and wide awake.
But they had to get some sleep for Christmas' sake!
As the Whos slept in peace, Cindy snuck out the door.
She'd stop Christmas from coming again, and once more!
She ran to town's center, by the tall Christmas tree.
She refused to be merry! She'd make them all see!
She took some long cables and stretched them around.
There wasn't one place where wires couldn't be found!
Those electrified cables were invisible though!
For they were soon covered by a thick coat of snow!
The very next morning, at the crack of the dawn,
the town's center was where every Who had been drawn.
It was time to join hands, and sing out in joy!
But for Cindy, it was time to test out her new "toy"!
The Whos all reached out to one another with glee.
The formed a great circle around the bright tree.
But when someone motioned for Cindy to join in,
She commited one of the cruelest and dirtiest of sins.
She reached out some pliers, hooked to a small block.
All of these Whos were in for quite a "shock"!
The elderly woman grabbed them, then started to shake!
Then the other Whos began, it was like one big quake!
As a wave of electricity bolted through all the Whos,
Little Cindy just laughed and went home for a snooze.
She returned hours later to find everyone was gone.
She couldn't even find the gnomes normally on the lawn!
She ran to the tree, her mind clouded with guilt.
Nothing could compare to this feeling she felt!
She thought it'd be peaceful, a jolly old time!
It turned out all she felt was dread for her crime!
She ran to the mountains, and searched in a daze.
She looked and she seeked! She squinted and gazed!
After hours of searching, she silently trotted off.
She was about to give up, when she heard a small cough.
"Little Cindy Lou Who, what happened?" said a voice.
The voice of Mindy Lou Who made Cindy Lou Who rejoice.
She hurt her own sister!?! She was a monster indeed!
Her once joyful heart had been overtaken by greed!
She soon found the others, and guided them home.
She felt so very guilty, she hurt those of her own!
She apologized to the Whos, and a lesson was learned.
Now she knows the meaning of Christmas, and a feeling well earned.
