Bittersweet nights alone in this obscure, useless town
You'd take my hand and we'd walk like we owned this place
Streetlights flickered over head, as if marking their territory
In an instant the street corner goes perfectly black
There's only you and me now
The faint sound of us breathing, and the wind howling around us
It's so cold but that doesn't even matter
You'll wrap your arms around me to keep me warm
I don't ever want you to let me go
I'm living completely in this moment
You lean down to me, I see your misleading green eyes beginning to close
You're lips are coming closer and closer to mine, and I can feel your grip on my waist tightening
Just an inch from my face now. And without a single word spoken, you're gone
Your image has completely faded into the starry night sky
I was walking these streets with your memory
A year has passed since we were in love
We've faked it as long as we could and we've got nothing left to give
Autumn just wasn't the same without you this year
We had a goodbye that seemed to drag on forever
Now every inch of this town has your name written all over it
All I feel is regret when I see you with all those other girls
You don't mean a thing to them, sweetheart
I would have given you the world on a bed of roses if you'd asked for it
Don't expect a thing from me now
I need to get out of this hell hole
Everywhere I go, all I see is you
The picnic tables we sat at, talking about our past and our future
The street corners where we made our goodnights last longer than appropriate
The parks that felt like home when we couldn't bare to be apart
I've come to learn that not all our memories are treasured
I walked around, alone now, and saw the destruction of our relationship
The driveway where you made my mascara run down my already worn out face
The parking lot where we had our first fight
And back to that old street corner, where we said our last goodnight
Burn this town down. Let it go up in flames
I can't bare to see you waste time with anyone else
It's sad to say that you've gotten the best of me
No one else will ever see me in whole, because you've still got a piece of me
Is that your way of keeping me around?
This is it. We've reached the end of the line
I won't ride this one out anymore
But I can't go on living here with your ghost
It's amazing how this town holds all our secrets
The ones we shared about how we felt about each other,
And the ones we whispered to ourselves when the feelings went away

Also about my ex-boyfriend. He means more to me than he should.

Okay, now this is a good one. I know I say that a lot, but seriously..its awesome. I love where you put the part about
"The driveway where you made my mascara run down my already worn out face.
The parking lot where we had our first fight.
And back to that old street corner, where we said our last goodnight."
That is the best part. =] Stuck out to me.
I loooove it. <3 It will get better, Case. I promise.
