Masks

we all wear masks everyday
we hide behind them in many ways
let me wear mine, and I'll let you wear yours
and we'll all be good little boys and girls

Please tell me what you think

    not bad...

I think this could have been longer.
But the shortness of this give it an almost sarcastic, snippy sound, which fits the whole theme of the poem.
Masks are a good use of symbolism is a this poem, because it's true everyone dose wear masks.
The end was really well thought out and was used in a manner as if to tell everyone "shut up and let us hide."
I think you could have run with the whole "masks" bit, maybe added some of the ways people hide. But this poem is filled from line one to line four with detest and dislike of those who deny their wearing of masks.
You should fix the punctuation and capitalization.
Yet other than that, not bad.

Alot stated within the brevity of this poem.

    Simplisticly stated but with depth.

How true it is~ the philisophical portrait of people

    Many Blessings~

Profound insights you have "penned" so eloquently here . I think you wrote a marvelous piece .

I would sound so cliché to say short and to the point . Instead I will tell you I found this concise and disturbingly thought provoking .

This can be interpreted in so many different ways , ( as poetry so often can )

    Thanks for sharing ,
    Keep penning

Short, yet wonderfull and deep to boot. You have so much depth with so little words and it speaks loudly. I feel you could bring more into this by haveing more words but that may very well ruin the simple complexity of the poem. This was very well done and i love it very good job.

Short poem, but says a lot. The lines are very true. I like the last line, i don't know how to explain it but with the *and* as the first word, it makes it all sound true.

Woah! This is a great poem. It's short, but still amazing. You've expressed so much in so few words. I can't choose a favorite part of this poem because I love every single word of it. It's a great message!

    ver good

i'm always intrigued by the masks some wear to accomplish their own agenda
what if others showed their true self
in times of dishonesty, lying, cheating, conniving, etc
so your work is a teastament to those who do not want to be seen for their true selves
    i like the ending
it encapsules how behind our mask
    we display goodness but
    behind our mask is.....................

This is such a short and deep poem. We all do wear masks and quite honestly those who don't are called weird.I could actually relate to this because I've worn a mask too, and for that same reason to be "good little girl." I loved how this poem flowed.Awesome.

The pure unadulterated beauty of this piece lies in its truth and philosophy of life which has been taken over control by your muse. The description and concept of the words flowing across the page have been gently pushed to the forefront to reveal an all too peculiar phenomena, which is known as life. Indeed this a great write.

Being good is bad? Makes one feel that being good is only done when hidden behind a mask; that when that mask is not there things might be a little on the bad side. LOL Interesting take on the topic. Easy to read and understand.

Thanks a million for the kind words. sometimes the right thing to do is the hard thing so many people put on a mask and ignore the right thing
      peace, maymay
