Hangs around my neck
This gold cross,
That will keep me away
My lover,
The vampire
A seducer,
In the darkened alley
I see his black cape
In the shadows,
My trembling hand
Reaches up...
To touch this golden cross,
As I reach to hold it
I drop it to the ground
And take his hand,
The hand of death
and walk
Into his vampire fold~

If this isn't one of your best, then I can't wait to read more. I thought this was very well written. Dark, edgy, eerie. Beautifully expressed. Love the picture you chose to go along with it.

May not be one of your better ones, but I damn sure liked it. Very very very well done. Of course, ya skarin the hell out of me with all the darkness ya writing.
Then again, it seems you have found a new genre to write in, and there's NEVER anything wrong with that. Sometimes, we writers just need a change of pace and gears to keep our muses flowing (especially when the little buggers all go on strike at the same friggin time).
Love Ya girlie.

Yeah, I love the move "Interveiw with a Vampire", as do I this poem. Both very....uhh....whats the word I am looking for. Dark and artistic.
-
Very dark with the macabre mixed in perfectly.
Working with words is a gift that you definitely have a handle on.
Good stuff here for sure.

Biting!!!
Hi Susan
As you know Vampire writes are close to my heart
This is dark and sensual. I like this very much. I see a sequal in here. Maybe an continuing piece, or a story! I would love to read more
Well done Susan! Thank you for sharing this dark tale with me v"""v

That guy is so handsome isn't he...Brad Pit reminds me of a new version of Robert Redford. Lasting talent. This was not too bad susan, I am so glad you didn't talk about blood too much. Wheeeew I would have to say for a vampire poem this is one of the best.

Love your poem!! Interveiw with the vampire, struck me deeply!
"Louie, wanted death, instead he was given a never ending life of sadness!" Love your poem! -
Interesting poem, not your normal stuff and I love to see writers stray away and experiment...this gave me shivers and right before bed time too...hmmm...oh the dreams I'll have...hugs...love Ro

Cool, write, Susan! Vampires are such sad and romantic figures in folk tales... love the piece. You captured that elusive essence of the vampire!
