Until

Until we get together
My nights will be a little colder
My days a little shorter
My heart will beat a little less rapidly
Until we meet each other
I know that my arms will be empty
My mind hurting from the constant thought of you
Minutes will feel like hours
Hours will seem to be months
While months will seem like eternity
Until we get together
The stars in the sky will not affect me
with their gleaming sparkles of life
Until I am gazing at them in your arms
And the food that I eat will not be fulfilling
Until it is you that I share my food with
And until we meet each other
I will not feel whole
My world will seem incomplete
Until that wonderful day
When our eyes make first contact
And our bodies and souls collide
In a blissful whirlwind
The words will roll off my tongue
Like a sweet love song
"Hello, my love, I couldn't wait to meet you."

Please tell me what you think

This is and incredible write. I am unsure if you have met her or are awaiting the day that you do. STill in fantasy realm. For you know what you seek and time passes ever so slowly. Whatever the case you have left this completely to the reader to decide. I love the ending..completes every line before it. Imagery is well done as in the emotion that springs forth from the page. Well done. I wouldnt change a thing. Dawn

    Wow!

Whoever she is, she must be one very special lady. Your poem pleads empathy and of course, earns it. Well written
