Dialectic drama drips from desiccated, drawn-back lips
as dried-out declarations drain my brain.
Daring me to disagree, the debutante so deftly sips
her dry but "not-done-right" martini. Still, the deady drain
upon my decimated cells draws dull denials from the spills
of deepening disgust at her demanding "Don't you Dare
decide against the deed I need!" Her deadly domination drills,
deriding my defiance, daring . (Do I really care?)
Succinctly, (scornful snickers showing,) I escape, yet slip a knowing
smile of salutation at her solipsistic sighs
and CZ jewelry, svelte and strewing scattered, silent slivers; showing
the stealthy, solemn secret of her seldom-opened eyes.
Shocked, she sibilantly whispers stringent accusations, stripping
all manhood from my slight self-image...unsuccessfully
striving to seduce my vanity, she staggers, slipping
in her self-appointed, self-indulgent singularity.
Pushing past the patrons piled in pairs, I pause to ponder, 'Should
such patent pleading, perilously packaged, not persuade?'
but portents, pale and palpable, prevail. There's precious little good
in picking up that passing challenge. Prudence points to prices paid
for prior sins in pain and pride...far preferable this product slide
into the past, unpurchased. Purloined pleasures have their cost
and pandering to passions often proves the Primrose Path both wide
and straight, yet, paradoxically, those pacing it are lost.

I'm sensing a theme here...
Wow. This is good, and even more so because of the alliteration (that's the right word?) . Purloined pleasures
..I'll have to remember that.

This took tremdous work and would have made my brain explode. What you did here was so remarkable to me.
I read it about 3 times and each time it just amazed me like the first time. Great job

Hey I really like this...very prosey. I also write prose a lot. I use all forms actually even Haiku. This is very thought provoking. Very well written, I am humbled and impressed. Great writing what a treat!
