Tonight and an era to come

[I dedicate this to a special lady in my life, one who recently, I let down.]

Tonight,

I leave room for a possibility to love in
my heart. A heart that has been chain-linked
to darkness and once lacked exposure.
I find it funny, though with all seriousness, I
can admit to selfishness, not for the good of myself
coming out of denile, but for the love of
another-

you see. tonight a woman I love threaten
to disown me-

and though her words and meanings among them
may be legit- I find no such interest of
cutting loose ends that will only stress me, yet
hold them tightly, for without shame, I can
admit that they will be the only strings I've
ever held long enough to watch bloom into the
length of a beautiful quilt.

What the future holds, we can never tell;
but what I hope is to hope for a better sense
of being a better man, a bigger man than those
whose disgrace rub off on me.

I see now why she would dare to make me cry;
I am weak in everyway possible-
but now, I am seeing like the bigger man
I hope to be in the future.

Please tell me what you think

    This is quite lovely and I hope she reads it. Not everyone makes mistakes and then owns up to them. Seeing our own flaws and saying yes, that's me. Beautiful piece of writing.

    great meter and flow
    after she reads this she will know what a huge guy you are and what a wonderful man she has fallen for. Grow to be that person you strive to be and build that quit with her.
    this is beautiful beyond words or adjectives
