The Ghost of Dundee
There does live a man from Dundee who did suffer a terrible fright
'Twas on a cold night
In 1894 in December
And readers, I know that he will forever remember
That dreadful night
On which he did have a most frightful fright
He did walk in a park filled with green grass
When an auld man, he did pass
He turn'd around, and to his utmost despair
The auld man he did pass was no long'r there!
Alas! Woe and fie!
He had disappear'd: why?
And so the man does live a life misery and of fear
Knowing that ghosts do dwell on earth, here
And when that man does drink his beer
He does it in fear
His mind taken by the ghost
He did see in Dundee, a city on the East coast

An Ode to William Topaz McGonagall
William McGonagall was a fine gentleman who did dwell in Dundee
Who did die in the year that came before 1903
And of horrific disasters, he did write poetry
And poems he did write for to compliment the Royalty
And poems he did write for to complain of his mistreatment by the magistrates and the public of Dundee
