Blending in

A proud peacock with muted plumage
Stands out like a sore thumb sometimes
Today there's a falling snow outside
Its a day that finally it gets to hide

Its rare by nature there to be an albino
For even if the color's missing, it's special
In the snow it blends in with such elegance
What a scene of beauty..its a story we can tell

Feathers no longer ruffled and not hiding in shame
Proudly walking in the snow and we'll let the story begin
Winter might have a starkness of contrast and cold
Today's a fitting example of how this peacock's blending in

Not to be scorned by the other birds and creatures
The talk of the town and now stands above them all
Each day as winter stays...he gets this feeling of joy
Nobody will shuns or forgets him...as snow continues to fall

Yes...this amazing bird has  withstood rejection and pain
He's hoping that this winter here will never end
He might have no color...but then again why does it matter?
The important thing learned is now...finally he's blending in

David

This peacock just seems to stand head and shoulders above others despite the fact that it is an albino. Enjoyed your philosphy. Happy Holidays, ♥ Belle

I have had the chance to see a peacock the color of white, it was almost as lovely to see as the words you enchant us with.
