Sunkissed clouds soar above,
As the trees dance against the sky.
Green fields span in every direction,
A yellow canary spreads his wings and begins to fly.
Over the heavens he soars,
The wind rushes through his soul.
His eyes fix upon the sun,
And the light swallows him whole.
Shadows overtake the clouds,
Darkness fills the sky.
The canary begins to decend,
Though he is unsure of why.
The sun fades quickly away,
The sky turns black.
His eyes fill with tears,
His heart begins to crack.
From within our canary is torn,
Ripped to shreds.
From within escapes the crow,
Bloodied wings he spreads.
He lands upon a tree branch,
Blood poors from his beak.
His eyes fix on nothingness,
And slowly the crow speaks.
"There is no life without meaning,
Yet there is no meaning to life.
For if you need to end your pain,
I'll gladly lend you my knife.
Without the pain of love,
We're left incomplete.
But when we give into love,
We give in to defeat."
The crows eyes fix upon me,
His eyes begin to glow.
Within them I see her face,
Memories begin to flow.
'I threatened to kill myself over and over. Because I felt like killing myself every day. And in a way I did. I thought I killed the part of myself that loved her. But instead I killed what little bit loved me.'
What can this dream mean?

yes it's a confusing dream but it has its ups and downs..like over the heavens he soars..sounds fun..then there's some darkness...there's some frightening parts..well dreams are always mixed with different pictures...torn pictures..really...you have to put them together to see what they really are..that's what makes dream so interesting..make us question..make us want to realize or know what this dream or our dreams are trying to tell us... -

Although this dream scares me, it translates beautifully through words. I know "she" will always be a memory you had. She was a Lesson, everyone has one, she will be in the back of your mind. When you find that some one, "she" will leave your heart, the wound will seal, and all thats left will be the scar, and a mind thats wiser, because she hurt you, you became stronger, you may not see it now, or ever... But i see it in you everyday jared. In a way you have very much stayed the same, but i see change in you that im sure you cannot, because you have become a stronger man, more inteligent, and an even more beautiful person, know now that i will be there for you everystep you take and every breath you make your own.

I absolutely love the ryme, and just the over all structure.
The substance of it is just beyond words. My faveorite has to be the Crow's quote though. Reminds me of the movie "The Crow" a little too.
I alwase love things based off dreams. The subject of dreams has alwase interested me. And I'm glad you wrote yourse down. (if this is actually based off a dream) Althought I can't really help you, I hope your questions are answered.

Wow. A frightening, confusing dream indeed. Well, judging by my dream dictionary, when you see a canary in your dream that represents happiness and harmony. A crow represents your annoying habits and the darker side of you. It may also serve as a messenger from your unconscious. Interpretted - the darker side of you killed your happiness as the Crow killed the canary and took over your life with anger and regret after having lost "her". Just a guess. Anyways, great poem. Really speaks to me.
