Of knowing someone cares
Soothes the troubled soul
Of a human being
As yet again I sit by the window
The frosted glass a reminder of my heart
Alone cold and forgotten by all
Awaiting the warm breath of love
The pure bliss and
The tortuousness agony of nervousness
That exists in me
As I prepare for my love
Watching the desolate darkness over take the light
As I sit watching waiting, praying that I will be saved
The bitter cold numbing me of all happiness
And yet another lifeless day fades, leaving broken dreams
Sweet jubilation as my
Love arrives and she
Greets me with a kiss
As I give her a class ring
Once again I am destined to a lonely night
My fingers bare and cold with nothing to warm them
Laying my self to sleep yet again
Knowing I am doomed to awaken forgotten once more

i thought this was written really well. i enjoyed reading it.
i didn't notice that it was written by both you and another person until you said so at the end,but then again i'm really tired today.
A lot of it i can relate to though.
I liked the ending. it made the previous verses of the poem almost seem like a dream,of pain and very brief love. I liked this. good job

Yes.
This is beautiful indeed, I can relate with this 100%
Reading this has made me feel less alone.
Thank you for writing this...
Odd comment, I know.

Wow
This was very good no matter who wrote what.

I like the back and forth of love and desolation. Gives the contrast of paradise and barren land void of all desperation or even hope. I love how it shows into the mind of two different people with two different emotions as one may help the other, or they may not even know each other yet. It is a great way to look at things as you not only see one side of what is there as the happiness in yourself, but also what has happened to another person who is left in a sullen despair. The background also is a perfect tone and image to what yall were trying to display. Wonderful writing guys.

I love the way it goes back and forth between feelings, showing both sides of the spectrum. Brava!
-
this piece here shows both sides of the story on the one side where one has lost love and the other has found love
-
Wonderful! Brava! It really made me want to cry, and then smile, and then cry, and then smile! Brava!
-
Great collaboration...it's somewhat of a contradiction...cleverly done...
-
romance touches within that beat of the heart where memories are made within a breath of time!
I did enjoy this my friend!
Keep penning on one stroke at a time!

Awesome
That was an amazing poem. I loved it.

Awesome!
This is really wonderful, David! After reading it once, then reading the author's notes, I hadn't realized the disjoint in the verses. It seemed to flow perfectly together, as if one poet had written the entire story. As I read it again, I realized the beauty of the collaboration - the images drift from past to present, present to past, memory to reality. Great work, David. Keep it up!
-
This flowed extremly well for two people writing it. I like the imagery and how the two conected together. Great job. I could find nothing wrong with this poem what so ever. Great job you two.
-
