I said not a word wrong.
Nothing meant in any other way,
Only friendship between two strangers
- Ships passing in the night-
Didn’t see the iceberg.
Crash.
Sinking.
I’m drowning in your betrayal.
No words said wrong,
And yet I am ignored by her,
Cast aside as not worthy to be noticed
- Dead to her poetic world-
Hardly alive in mine either.
Buried.
Dead.
My coffin is of your ignoring me.
I said not a word wrong.
I behaved like a friend should,
Giving my advice and help, friendly
- And she ignored me-
I’m not dead to her world.

Another poet here, who shall remain nameless, just ignored me when all I did was talk to her and offer her ideas to improve her poetry, and genuine being interested in her second book...and she ignored me, telling me to stop torturing her, when I said nothing wrong...I wish I could tell her that I am sorry if I said something wrong, as well as telling her she had no right to do that without reason...

It is difficult to be in a situation such as that. Some people just want to go their own way. You did what we all do and are paying for it. Sorry to hear that some one could not take it well. Thank you for entering the contest.

This is a very sad poem, wuth a lot of confusion in it and betrayal...and even a hint of anger. I can take a wild guess of who it is, and my advice is that you just...forget about it. You're a lot better than that person, both as a human being and as a poet. Stay strong, Born From A Wish!

You've expressed your hurt very eloquently in this poem. Friendships gone wrong can be really tough, because the end of a friendship is not as clear cut as the end of a romantic relationship. Being ignored by someone is just the most hurtful thing. You have my sympathy

i'm sorry. no one likes being ignored.
and though you may have done nothing wrong,
maybe it's the fact that you made her realize
that her poetry isn't as perfect as she thinks...
and though no one's is, and we all know that in
our own minds, having someone else tell us that
makes it burn a little more.

I hope so too...I just got really upset, because I thought the conversation we were having was...good lol Like...nice and benefitial(?) for both of us. Apparently, I was wrong.
