Details - silver

Missing image
Details, blurred, dissolved, fractured
like light bent, like grass configured
to the step of a foot, like trees
bracketed by blessings on a misted horizon

it is there since dark became light,
since ooze became dry, since brown became
green and there was a pair of feet to stand

it was    it is  it will be

a return to places we have always known,
a people who have been cross-breathed with,
a nation who knows its beginnings

we were    we are    we will be

again and again and again

no matter the little details
of creation here, of planting there
or knowledge or suppositions,
or theories or commandments

it will be as it will be
over and over
until we realize
we have been here before

and get it right, get it good, get it better
get the right-angled look at forever
and returning to the hand that fills in details.

    awesome

Humanity will never gauge forever, nor will he ever understand the meanings of tomorrow...there's a beautiful world that is unraveling in humanity's hands, and without vision, it will disappear. your write is visionary and full of wisdom...smile..hugs, David

No, we can not, ..I suppose there are some visionaries who have more knowledge than msot of us, but then..they can only know what is chosen for them to know, I think. I think it is the same with new inventions and discoveries...they only figure out what is meant to be figured out. Dat's my story and I am stickin' to it....lol...

    Thought provoking...

I'm exeedingly impressed with this. You obvioualy put a great deal of thought into it and have come up with some very profound truths.
As for your authors notes, you have me thinking. We are in forever so are a part of forever and as a part of it surely we can attempt to define it? We are self aware and aware of forever and able to define it, in whatever terms we choose and if we are wholly in touch with the hand that fills in details surely we have inner truths about forever that we were born knowing.

Great stuff, I love poems that cause me to really stretch myself in thought.

      ahhhhhhhhhh

those things seen as profound truths are also a huge part of my faith....that they are truths. that is why mys toru is called "Shhhhhh: A creation Story" because I am alaways int he act of creation and being created and my re-creating myself. Until he grabs hold of my ahnd and pulls me through, I do not think I can know forever, for real. I do spend time considering waht part s I will keep forever..and what parts I might not have to redo.
I do beleive we were born knowing..but not the all of it...I think not only did the angels touch our lips that we might not speak of it, they may have closed out eyes that we might only envision it with our eyes closed from then on.
      Capeche?
i think that I made sense in that....heaven knows...*soft smile*

        We know

Yes, we do know eternity, God, ourselves and all beings out there and around us within our spirits. Sometimes we catch a glimpse of something we are deeply familiar with and are on the edge of knowing but when we try to grasp it it draws the veil back over our understanding.

You my treasured friend and sister have nailed it in verse. The reason as if we need one is-(and get it right, get it good, get it better
get the right-angled look at forever
and returning to the hand that fills in details.)in your verse. Yet you and I both know the powerful total picture isn't ours to know in it's completeness. We we always strive for that. But it's beyond us and rightly so. We need to strive in becoming more God like in our dealings. But can never be on his level, least the journey ends in oblivion. To see it all at once and whole is his domain alone. This sets creator apart for all else as the God. It's better left to one so pure and knowledgable as God is in love divine. You know these things much better than do I. I concider your endevored abilities advanced beyond mine. But I've been distracted one too many times by events.lol~Suseann

      Yes

abd by returnign to his hand, we can be taught again until we do get it right.

thank you, my friend....yes...some of us have burdens to bear and bear and bear again...for reasons we can nto know now, but will, I believe, in that return. Love you gf.

    A most interesting piece.

As someone who is as one with nature, you should submit this poem to the Poetry Writing page of a UK website

    www.stonecatnaturereserves.co.uk

You are almost guaranteed to be published and this piece is very worthy of that.

        Incredible

Amazing, this is really out there. When I was reading your poem I thought you could have written it without knowing it was you. And I was immediately drawn to it. It seems we really do get to know each other through our poetry!
