Jesus Is

Missing image

JESUS IS...

He teaches me to bear my soul
He is righteous through and through
Jesus, the one who makes me whole
His powers make me feel brand new

Baby wrapped in swaddling cloth
The chosen one to become King
His love teaches to still my wroth
He helps me fly on broken wing

This simple man He wandered far
Taught the sinners of Godliness
He breaks chains that bind and mar
freeed me from life's evilness

Jesus is my Lord and Savior
through Him I have found salvation
Compass for moral behavior
So worthy of adoration

His walk on earth ended in pain
Impaled upon the cross was He.
This man was mocked with disdain
He absolved my sins, set them free

    Excellent Work!

ExcellentWork! Very focused piece aptly answering my contest question. Thank you. You mixed well the issue of who Jesus is AND who He is to you. It would be interesting to see the response of someone who did not know Jesus when you wrote the final stanza, and specifically the "His walk on earth ended in pain, impaled upon the cross was He". Why would such a "simple man" teaching godliness be crucified? Also, how beautiful it would be to include a stanza on His resurrection, truly setting Him apart as He is revealed in the Word, and demonstrating the effectiveness of His work on the cross. Very well written

    Hi!

    Sandy!

Now days, good people like you are rare to find.

We, human beings pound away at the Jesus teachings, then put all in handcuffs.
Jesus was the greatest and He will always be.
When we face ourselves with the evidence, we refuse to acknowledge the existence of ourselves.
We never understand the Divine Power that makes us communicate with each other
Do we ask ourselves where our voice comes from? One day, this receptacle will lie down there without life.

We only live in prescribed terms.

    Well done!

    Love it!

    Nice written!

    Take care!

Beautiful write and yet another wonderful testiment of your faith. This is just so wonderful. I love the graphic, and border. The graphic reminds me of getting saved and becoming a child again. A child in faith. I know I am forever learning more of his precious love and the blessing he will bestow as I turn my life to him completely. God Bless you, and thanks for posting this so many may have the opportunity to read and be touched by your beautiful words.

    AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was beautiful and I'm sure you blessed Jesus's heart with your words of love for him!!! You described his beginning with accuracy as well as his walk throughout his life. You leave the reader knowing you have an steadfast walk with Christ and the love you feel for him shines through with your choice of words. The imagery was so vivid I could see him in the manger and through all his traveling teaching others of his father's amazing love and grace!!! Well done and good luck in this contest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Toni

    excellent

You've described Jesus Christ wonderfully. "And every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord..." Phillipians 2:10-11 And one day indeed every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!

The picture of Jesus with the child on His lap goes well with your text. I hope you win the gold for this one.
