Eternity's Host is Closer Than We Think

What makes us think it had a beginning,
or for that matter, will have an end?
Maybe the universe was always eternal,
is the God on which we all so depend.

Just because the life we're living had a start,
we assume it separate, a thing apart.
Yet I see all life and all things as one,
never ending, will never be done.

He Said,"I am the Alpha & Omega essence".
We're all part of the sum total effervescent.
Returning to life time after time immortal,
repairing mistakes through varied portals.

Everything that exists, right down to the air,
things we can see, others hidden are shared.
We're a minute speck ,a drip in the great sea.
yet part of the complexness of eternity.

WOW! Magnificent!!!! This is so beautiful and you have done it flawlessly. The poem makes perfect sense, has great rhyme and flow and an excellent choice of words. Each quatrain is complete in itself and is written so well that you have the reader's total attention from start to end I just LOVE the first two lines. You say it all in those few words.

    All the best,
    Charishma

    Wonderful Write

This is a wonderful write Suseann! I like the feel of the poem, making the reader think about their own beliefs, and challenge yours. It is amazing, and I look at it like this, the earth is round, DNA strands go into an unending spiral...Nothing will ever end. Life will always go on, even if we blow ourselves up in nuclear war on this earth...God has a plan that is far more of a bigger picture than what we could imagine! GREAT POEM! LOVE IT!

You are right on in the way I view life."Nova" had a episode covering string theory that made things tie together in what I subconsciencly already knew.I think on some level. We all know God and the answers we seek.May never know the story complete and all at once, because it's far to powerful for a us as indiviguals /not collectively/to comprehind. That DNA strand runs through absolutly everything in the universe. When evil intent transgresses against anything or anyone. It's doing self harm.Because we are one in all aspects.I believe Gods words are taken unintentionally in most cases, out of context. The enlightenment of his work take an open mind and love. But then,he told us that.

    totally awesome

Your truths are my truths, sister. Ho wcan we know or say for sure, other than that soul has spoken to us.

This is beautifully done, sweetly said and soulfully meant.

You and I can know and it is for others to have their own knowing...but int he end...we shall return again and again through the osmosis of eternity.

    Finalists list

Sorry I added you to the finalist list and I shouldn't have as the contests only just started. It's the first contest I've run since everything changed and just getting to know what to do. Your poems so good though I expect it wouldn't have ended up in the list anyway.
