The sky, at a time where the sun sleeps
But a party of lights awaken with their king
The moon, ruler of the night
The stars, a mystical display of our cosmos.
As we lay on the ground
We stare into the canvas of beauty
With bright specs and stripes
The man in the moon watching over us
Giving us light, all is calm
Nothing but the silent hum of crickets
The lonely solo of a wolf in the background
The moon continues its journey to the other side of the world
As day breaks, the night ends and we witness the birth of a new day.
