Congratulations,
Hurray! that moment that felt so far away
has finally caught up with your Graduation Day
All those years of study will at last unfold
the tools necessary for what your future may hold
You’ve earned your autonomy as a budding young man
now boldly go forth for your future's at hand
It's your time now to take on the world and
see your fondest dreams begin to unfurl
Always look forward, no need to look back
for your heart wears like armor, old wisdom’s pack-
the whispers within always testing for truth
distinguishes you, the man, from the boy of your youth
Be fearless in faith and know
by proper chain of command
The One Who thought of you and loved you first
had you in mind as part of His greater plan
You are the future our continuum of breed
With deepest respect in you we are pleased
Trust in yourself and the goodness of your heart for
upon this earth you will one day leave your mark

How I love
the pride in this poem. Mary, you have shone here in this dedication. Best wishes with this poem. I hope it makes the "cut".
I loved these lines particularly:
"Always look forward, no need to look back
for your heart wears like armor, old wisdom’s pack."
Best wisges from Ron.

Goodness, you have an inner eye to success.
"You are the future our continuum of breed
With deepest respect in you we are pleased:<--- I love those lines the best. Upscaled but simple.
Mary, you need to get this one published. Mmmmmmmmmm...marketing would be in the educational portion. Maybe an ANTHEM for all graduates.
Congrats on the graduation, first of all. Bless you and your hand that paints the future goals!
A great piece also for cards. I'll get a link
for you should you want this electronically submitted
for publishing (got a couple of mine there too.)

Wow
This is a very excellently written and inspiring poem. The word choice and construction is perfect for setting the tone and imagery of the piece. Excellent job here. Merry Christmas...~PeacE~GarY~ -
Wonderfully penned. This is the sort of piece I love to read. It is full of sincerity and heart. It is often I look at youth and think of our future being in their hands really. They have the power to change the world and hopefully they shall for the better. But it is even more awesome to see them graduate, about to embark on their own. Very well written and I am sure your Grandson will love this. I'm sure his smile will dim the brightest sun

awww I really liked this. Very sweet and thoughtful. I lovely inspirational poem for even those who aren't graduating. It's something we can all learn from and become strong from.
"now boldly go fort for your future's at hand"
I wasn't sure if that was supposed to say boldly go forth, but I thought I would point it out. Anyway, I loved the poem, great job!

I just got done talking to my friend named LaRay, and until now, I knew no other LaRays existed... I left telling her I was going to college, and here I am.
I've never felt such a strong connection in fate as I read this poem. Truly astounded and amazed, I am in shock awe and wonder... not sure what to say...

Thank you for an exquisite entry--well deserving of the GOLD. This was the aunt's favorite! And congratulations to your grandson. You might think about having this framed for his memorable occasion. xx ♥ Belle

Inspirational
Hi Mary! This is great, as your work always is. These are great things to keep in mind; being a relatively young man myself...heck there's no relatively about it...I'm young (except according to that teenager who thought I was 40. A pox on him), I can find a lot in this in myself to be inspired by. I felt the line "The One Who thought of you and loved you first
had you in mind as part of His greater plan" to be particularly effective. As always, kudos!

Fabulous
this is a great graduation tribute... I need to write one for two of my daughters. One is graduating from the 5th grade and the other is graduating from the 12th.

CONGRATULATIONS TO LaRay -
Thank you so much for this wonderful entry with all its inspiration and wisdom. I have forwarded it to the aunt. Gosh, will she ever have a hard time! All my best to you in the contest, Belle
