Bus

Passing by
Dim lights beam down, face upon face
Shadows stand at the edge of vision and seats
Staring out
Into a looking glass mirror
Flitting darkness beholds our twilight zone
And people holding glass
Look onto us
The ones placed far above
Looking down
Seeing the glass
And clawing vanity reaches the surface
Tearing down all self respect
Leaning towards the looking glass
No reflection is held near
Hatred boils up inside
As others begin to scream
Still staring out the window
And seeing another quite like them
No faces beheld on those white silhouettes
As the driver of cattle
Honks a horn
And continues on
Down some deep road
Not into the distance but against a red light
And straight into an old lady’s life
