I wanna inject pain into this
But would it do any good?
I don't know, doesn't affect my wishes though
So, the reason for my wish is simply this
I want a way to numb the pain
By act of transfer
Writing always does something
Whether it good or bad
It does something
And allowing my heart to pour
Leaves me so vulnerable
I have to close up again soon
So that my heart is protected
From anything which would attack
But sometimes I feel so stupid
And worthless and small
Because all that is happening
Is nothing less than I deserve
What goes around, comes around
It's the karma of the writing
I inject pain into the paper
But it makes the pain so much deeper in me
But would it do any good?
I don't know, doesn't affect my wishes though
So, the reason for my wish is simply this
I want a way to numb the pain
By act of transfer
Writing always does something
Whether it good or bad
It does something
And allowing my heart to pour
Leaves me so vulnerable
I have to close up again soon
So that my heart is protected
From anything which would attack
But sometimes I feel so stupid
And worthless and small
Because all that is happening
Is nothing less than I deserve
What goes around, comes around
It's the karma of the writing
I inject pain into the paper
But it makes the pain so much deeper in me

you have written this beautifully
I am not sure the why but it is true
by writing your feeling down makes them easier to understand
a very lovely addition to my contest
God bless you my friend...

I really like the last two lines - "I inject pain into the paper
But it makes the pain so much deeper in me" - I know this feeeling...writing it down does make it more real, as touchof1der said, but sometimes the reality of it is so much more painful. I really liked this one...good job, & good luck in the contest. -
I understood this perfectly. I remember a professor telling me once that the reason you should always put your plans, goals and deepest thoughts down on paper instead of just carrying them around in your head or heart is because there's something about seeing it on paper that causes the mind to accept it as truth or as seeing it as a done deal written in stone. I have found that for me, this is definitely true. Great job! Good luck in the contest.
