Wonder

Moonbeams fly
Speckles of light
Rays reaching and grasping
Nurturing
Eternal.
The beauty of the night.

    Simply Wonder(ful)

First off I found it delightfully interesting that your title for this work describes more what you feel about the subject that your poem is about, rather than the subject itself; it's rather refreshing. Getting into the poem itself, I very much enjoy your almost exclusive use of diction here, though lack of syntax says enough in itself. Your emphasis on the words and only the words allow us to feel exactly like we're lying in the grass or sitting by a window next to you, the hazy feeling of sleep nearly overcoming us, as you murmur these sweet and simple words to describe exactly how we feel when we spy the night sky gazing back at us. Also, I found your limited use of punctuation appropriate to give a sense of resolving consonance, as one feels at the moment consciousness fades.

Night is my favourite time, to lay in the grass and look at the stars... to wonder what is out there in the great universe... you reminded me to do this again soon
