Their Under Development

A lot of people
    Are very underdeveloped
          As human beings;
As far as human beings go,
    They're under development.
Does this mean our society is spent
    Or has spent too little on
          The one thing on which it
Rests, human development?
    Do our ("their", more rightly)
          Laws arrest human
Development? Put to the test
    Are We? (As Yoda mite say -
Speaking of which, how
    Many Jedi Knights will there be
On Census Night, a statistical
    Feat still under development
          As I write.

Written in Honour of the 2006 Australian Census. In the previous Census, no few people gave their "religion" as "Jedi Knight".

    can't say that I am

    More of a Hitch Hiker... but people said they were Jedi Knights. What a lovely way to make a mockery of the Census, though I can see people being annoyed with Burocrats and the Government.
