The phone rings,
and the tears I heard tore me in two.
You weren't talkin to clear
and I knew you were scared.
I couldn't understand,
was everything gonna be ok,
or was this the end?
Wait,
I think you said daddy,
but maybe it was momma.
Someone's dead...
and now I'm crying too!
I'm not sure what to say
Who is it, please tell me who it was,
was it daddy or maybe momma,
I just can't hear you very well.
Please tell me who passed on.
All I can understand is "There gone"
Your gonna have to calm down,
I need to know what happened...
You see,
ohhh,
please just tell me.
And finally I hear the broken story...
Things were going well,
I was talking to 'em on the phone,
they were laughing,
then...
I heard a crash and...
Ohh please, I can't talk about it!
Please, you have to,
I need to know what happened,
I need to know who's dead...
They had a wreck and I heard it all...
the crash,
the screams,
and then all I could hear...
daddy was crying;
"Please say something, don't die on me now.
I Love you honey"
And then that was all I could take.
They...
They told where they were right before so I called for help.
I made it there quick but momma,
she umm,
I'm pretty sure she was already dead.
The car was awefull,
a drunk was driving in their lane,
they tried get out of the way,
they hit,
and then rolled down the hill.
Daddy was, he was in pretty bad shape.
They took him to the hospital,
and I stayed with momma,
they took her too.
Daddy's ok,
till he knows momma's gone.
I umm,
I don't know what to do...
my tears growing fearce,
and together our hearts are breaking.
I don't wanna loose momma I say,
and silence,
I wouldn't have wanted to loose daddy either...
what do you hope for in this position?
I don't know what to say,
cause on the phone we both just cry.
I love you momma,
and I love you daddy.
Goodbye momma,
You'll be Forever In Our Hearts...
We miss you!

Not something i experienced but something that came to my mind, and the thoughts were pretty deep. Not sure how it's portrayed but let me know what you think.

Oh my...I was so relieved to know that this one is not a personal story…but my heart goes to those grieving children who've lost their parents because of a tragic incident...thank you for sharing a lovely poem…

Wow, this one had my heart beating awfully fast, Lil one, and I thought for sure it was true. Good job with the story and presenting it here. You sure had me caught right up finding out what was gonna happen.

Thank you Sir'! I like to tell stories but never can get it to come out right and this one just kinda flowed with it! Anyways thanks for writing, how are you? And your wife? And the kids of course? We're doing good here lots going on bt seems to be more good things now than bad...it was getting hard to handle for a while there but maybe it's calming down now! Oh, and wally has told me that somewhere in the next month to month and a half he was going to propose but he says he wont do it on Christmas cause he doesn't want me to expect it!
