Flashing bright
even by the faint moonlight;
that flickers through my window
and trickles through my cool recesses,
filtering through my pebbles of bedding
each within its own hue.
Staring wide eyed at the world,
an yet not in it,
I float on by;
unscathed
untouched
unfurling tails of color
that cover my body
flutter in the waves
that give brilliance to my form.
I force the boundries of my cell
that clear cage called world
that I am forced to live in...
I want to break free!
Leap the boundries!
Jump from my world awashed in seclusion
an repetition.
And yet...
if I do...
I can't...
Breathe.
Author notes
If you couldn't guess my pet is a beta fish - his name is Moogle. ^_^ Thought this would be new an creative for this kind of contest to relate myself to a fish hehe
