If only a moment after I die,
You said you still loved me,
I'd request God
for one last breath
to say the same,
to you.
But would you
ever do that?
And does God exist?

Nice Poem
Good job, Sau
.
As to what the rest have said (about God's existence), I doubt that there will ever be demonstrative proof that God exists. If there were, the concept of faith would be meaningless.
If it is true that God is love, than certainly if we believe love exists, then we believe God exists by default.
As an apologist, I have to appeal to the "If" that sets the sentence off. It could be argued quite easily that God has nothing to do with love. I think the times we're living in makes it easy to think that way, but we have to remember that very educated men have come up with very different theories (some people think that God doesn't deal with the affairs of men; some people think that God does interact with man but without feelings of affection [sort of like the Greek gods]). My personal experience is otherwise, but I think it's only fair to avoid generalizing.
Long tangent! Sorry
. All the best
.

Hmn....I have no comment .I believe in God but proof of him does not hold any water...It's Okay, Everybody has his own authority what to believe in...it is just a matter of transcendence. Thanks for the QUESTION..HUMANITY had been bothered by this one.

Uncertainties of a relationship in which one so believes are so much aligned with the uncertainties one has as to God's existence as you have so well expressed by this poem, Sau. I never quite looked at it this way, but after reading your poem, it certainly provokes thought.
You've written this so well and concisely and I truly enjoyed the read.

a poignant question
If we sit here wondering all our lives, will we miss out on the happiness that surely love has destined for us. If it is true that God is love, than certainly if we believe love exists, then we believe God exists by default. With the "but would you ever do that?" line, it throws everything up for scrutiny, including the sincerity of one's feelings, which I can definitely understand. I suppose that if I felt like (human) love was real, maybe I would repeat the first part myself. But then I'd wonder if they would ever say that they still loved me. Based on my experiences, I would have to answer in the negative.
But alas, such is life.
It is nice to read another poem of yours after this absence.
Many blessings,
Raven Aurora

Beautiful Question
Sau, this poem is so touching because it is full to the brim of love but then plays off the doubt or the question of uncertainity in both love and eternity...in the eternal divine...and it is just brilliant. It shows a shift in perspective...living among the western mind over here...picking up on the paradoxical nature of the doubt and uncertainity while keeping the flame of love so deeply alive.

This is a lovely little poem with a lot of thought and feeling behind it. I like this kind of poem, short and sweet and meaningful, i think this is a very good example, thank you for posting it!

Wow!! How powerful with just a few words. I also ask that same question does god exist. I personally think that he does not but everyone has their own opinion. Well done

Oh my
Your poem states a feeling that I had for several years, so you gave my heart a flutter. I have to be a cynic in some cases. Put your trust in God, not man (or woman); future behaviour is usually a lot like past behaviour. I'm certain that Kipling will not rise from his grave to raise a fist at you.
