Counting My Blessings
I count my blessings on this day,
of loved ones here and far away.
Special place for loved ones dear,
within my heart this time of year.
Loving friendship, God's greatest gift,
in times of sorrow they uplift.
I give thanks to each and everyone,
for being there, for all you've done.
A special thanks to my best friend,
within my heart till journey's end.
A sister too, I'm grateful for,
for loving me and so much more.
An Aussie friend that means so much,
for in my heart, the sweetest touch.
My sweet friend who's college bound,
a true blessing in you I found.
To new found friends making smiles,
telephoning across the miles.
A special friend off in Iraq,
my prayers with you till you get back.
I give thanks to a Canadian,
a paratrooper, a special man.
You are all such blessings to me,
my AP friends and family.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all of my AP family and friends. You are all such a blessing in my life. My life is so much richer for knowing you all. I give thanks to God for bringing all of you into my life. Love, Sandy

I gotta say... I LOVE the photo... raccoons are one of my favorite animals... I've raised 2 of them... they are hilarious and VERY entertaining. A blast to play with!
Back to the poem, it's truly a special piece... written so well. I need to read more of your stuff... I LOVE poems with good rhyme and meter.
