Death behind bars

I've got nothing but time to kill.
I know I'll feel content when youre gone,
but you have been gone.

You are locked away behind cold metal bars.
They will keep you from me.
Through the tainted glass
you look so ill.

Washed up,
you need a fix.

I look into the eyes of someone who has
lost every ounce of their pride.
I couldn't have stopped you,
even if I had tried.

Something strong and lethal
took you from me.
Now they've got you trapped,
right where they want you.
Lost; contained.
You have told them so many
  inocent
names.

If you don't die there,
you surely will here.
I feel like im suffocating or being held
under water to long.

You left me for IT.
You betrayed us for THEM.

Now your eyes are still,
you don't even blink.

I say your name over and over again
in my solitude head.
Do you even know me?
I choose to remember you differently.
So intelligent, so light.
Everything I loved was in your eyes.

You died tonight.
But really you have been dead for too long.
contained behind glass,
kept inbetween stones.
I lay one thing on your cold
lonely tombstone.

It will be buried there along
with you and your perfect mind.
A peice of me,
always right by your side.
And as I walk away,
I will never be the same.
