PPPS Here are some customer reviews of my book; enjoy! ;-D

By Peter Dugas (Merrimack, NH, USA) -
I first read your poems while traveling to see a dear friend who is very sick and losing a battle with cancer. Your words calmed my soul and helped me to focus on God's great glory. I read some of these poems, after 'dog-earing' about two-thirds of them to my friend, and she enjoyed the message as well. They are very comforting at any time, but especially so when times are tough and one is looking for a better understanding of 'why', and that turning to Him all the time is the best way to live our lives.

By Matthew R. Harris (Pasadena, MD, USA) -
'Reaching Towards His Unbounded Glory' has truly blessed this reader with inspiration. After having just published a Christian book of poetry myself-'Poems On Some Parables Of Christ'-I can appreciate first hand this labor of love that Mr. Breunig has written. I am inspired to know that he is a Christian poet who is unafraid to remind his audience that 'The message of Jesus' story didn't end atop Calvary, / as a rotting corpse, left among the ruins of human debris....Unbeknownst to man, the Earth's foundation suffered / a quaking groundswell, / while the Spirit of Christ descended into fiery depths / and snatched the keys of hell.' The previous lines were quoted from a poem in Mr. Breunig's collection entitled 'Buried.' I hope these lines as well as the rest of 'Reaching Towards His Unbounded Glory' will lift you up as they have me.

By David A. Buck (Keene, NH, USA) -
It's one thing to put pen to paper and write things, good or bad that move people in one way or another. This book moved me in a positive way. I find it hard to believe that the author wrote these words from his very own psyche. I'm not accusing plagiarism, but rather inspiration. Many of the thoughts put to paper had to be, in my mind, divinely inspired. So many things we all need to hear, especially in this point in time. I can only hope that someone will read this and have that 'life changing' experience that we all crave. God's thoughts, using man's words. Outstanding! ! !

By Chris DePalma (NY, USA) -
I find it interesting how we are on two different paths, but yet I find I can relate to a lot of what you write. I guess it shows me the more I discover about us humans, the more I can see inner similarities in spite of the outward differences. I also think that our paths may look different on the outside, but it's really the same spiritual journey for each of us toward one God, however we see Him/Her.

By Jim Breunig (Laurel, MD USA) -
I found Joe's book refreshing, inspiring and a great change of pace from today's social environment. There's more violence than ever in the media - so it's uplifting to read something positive.

As the title suggests, "Reaching Towards His Unbounded Glory" is a spiritually based book. Although I am not a very religious person, I enjoyed the book because it's not overbearing with preaching or religion. This book contains poetic expressions of events and topics that everyone can relate to. These principled messages are good reminders of the simple things in life that we often take for granted.

Also, I like the format of the book. Unlike a novel, where you may have a long chapter or no place for a good stopping point, this book is a compilation of short versed poetry. This enables you have a quick read while commuting, enjoying a coffee break, or anytime when having a few minutes to relax.

"Reaching Towards His Unbounded Glory" is a book you'll want to read again and again. Whenever you feel a little down, this book will take your mind off the annoying things in life to remind us of positive things and what's important.

Footnote: I feel I should inform you that Joe is my oldest brother. My purpose in providing this fact is to show my honesty and credibility. Having spent many years serving as an army officer, my word is very important to me.

what to think, what to think, about a book, i'll check it out thats what i think but with all the books and all the stores what makes my book different from yours? A suggestion here, make this page a bit more inviting...you spent good points in promoting it...if you dont have a gold membership, get one and use some shmaltzy html speak to jazz it up a little, make it more engaging because, honestly Joe, this page wont do it... Hey! Maybe add links to some of the poems you've already posted here on the site so's the readers can check it out. And dooood, delete my paganistic comments, no one likes to an old person's drivel, esp. in public.

Lucky! I plan on publishing a book of my poetry, eventually, even an entire section devoted to poetry, both good and bad, written on AP, and there will be special thank-yous to the wonderful and supporting community of AP.

I thought, however, that this would be an actual poem.

Congratulations with the publishing of your book. I am sure it is fuel to keep faith running. In these times of darkness we need to read and hear about the splendor of The Light. Of its presence and continued involvement with its great creation. To enable us to reach to HIS unbound glory. Thank you for the effort required for this accomplishment. Wishing you a lot of success with it, hoping it will be beakon of Light for many in the dark of this world. Take care,

    U

Many congrats on your book being published, jj! I've just recently had a couple of poems published, thanks to the efforts of two of AP's own Brian Douthit, and D P Robertson. I know what a thrill it was to see those two in print...I can't imagine the thrill of having an entire book published! I wish you well with it, and hope that it will be a blessing to all who are blessed to read it!
